Herd immunity, which comes from widespread vaccine uptake, will only protect our children with mandates. As the federal government fumbles opportunities to increase access to vaccines and ensure their use, New York needs common sense policies that inoculate us from bad policy for the nation. Because of Medicaid policy on vaccine provision, access is likely to be a huge issue for many New Yorkers who rely on the federal entitlement for their healthcare needs. Please ensure that these people, and all of us, are protected with maximal availability.
