An Open Letter

To: Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz

From: A constituent in Cedar Park, TX

June 25

I am writing to respectfully urge you to vote NO on the SAVE America Act. The right to vote is fundamental. Any changes to election law should expand access to those eligible to vote, not restrict it. It’s possible to have safer AND more accessible elections. It’s not an “either/or” proposition. The SAVE act is preposterous. Our elections are historically safe and fair. As you know, extensive non-partisan research and audits into the past American elections have shown voter fraud is quite rare. Non-citizen voting is even more rare. So, why risk disenfranchises millions to defend against a threat that doesn’t exist? Why risk the harm of overwhelming election officials with more pointless paperwork required by new federal regulations? There’s no “Americans First” answer. Oppose the SAVE America Act and support policies that protect both election integrity and the ability of every eligible American to vote.
