Rebuke President Trump's Unethical Actions

To: Sen. Mullin, Sen. Lankford, Rep. Bice

From: A verified voter in Oklahoma City, OK

January 28, 2025

President Trump has, in the first week of his new presidency, taken many unilateral actions that are blatantly unconstitutional, illegal, and unethical, including violating the Impound Control Act of 1974 by freezing the disbursement of Federal grants and assistance. He has also fired the prosecutors and investigators who did their jobs by investigating the charges previously filed against him. This blatantly unethical and unbecoming of the office of president. Further, it is illegal as he can only fire them for cause, which he did not. Also illegal is his preparation to ban transgender soldiers from serving in the military. It's also foolish as the military has enough difficulty finding eligible recruits. Removing soldiers who have already qualified will leave our military weaker than it was. None of these actions align with the idea of a party of small government, nor with a party that stands for law and order. As a constituent, I demand that you publicly stand up and rebuke these dictatorial actions taken by President Trump, and remind him that he was elected to serve the people, not to be a king.
