I am writing to demand that you take immediate action to stop Donald Trump and his political allies from using the United States military to target immigrants. His escalating plans to deploy troops for mass deportations and raids represent a grave threat to civil liberties and the foundation of our democracy. We cannot allow the military to be turned against our own people. This country must not become a place where political leaders use force and fear to divide and control the population. These are the actions of a dictatorship like Belarus, Russia, or Nazi Germany, not a constitutional democracy. I also urge you once again to demand that ICE stop unlawfully arresting both immigrants and U.S. citizens. This agency continues to operate outside legal bounds, separating families, detaining people without proper cause, and violating the rights of residents and citizens alike. There must be full accountability for these abuses. These policies are not about security or justice. They are about consolidating power through cruelty and fear. If we do not stop this now, we risk losing the principles that are supposed to define this nation. You have a responsibility to stand up against this authoritarian agenda. Please use your voice and your office to protect immigrant communities, defend civil liberties, and prevent the militarization of our domestic policy. Further, you have the responsibility to hold the perpetrators of the brutal, corrupt, and repressive agency known as ICE accountable, and demand the total dissolution of said agency to prevent anymore violations of human rights. The people are watching, and so is the rest of the world. Do not be silent, do not be complicit.
