I am writing to demand that Congress take the constitutional process of the 25th Amendment seriously and address whether the President is capable of faithfully carrying out the duties of the office.
This is not about party loyalty. It is about the Constitution, accountability, and the stability of our republic. When credible evidence raises serious questions about a president’s ability to discharge the responsibilities of the presidency, Congress has an obligation to examine those concerns rather than look the other way.
Congress should demand transparency, obtain the relevant facts, and insist that the Vice President and Cabinet fulfill their constitutional responsibilities if the evidence warrants it.
Our system of government cannot depend on political convenience, blind loyalty, or fear of confrontation. The presidency is not above the Constitution.
I urge you to act—openly, constitutionally, and without regard to party—if the evidence establishes that the requirements of the 25th Amendment have been met.
The country deserves constitutional government, not political silence.
