Today I’m writing to urge you to vote YES and support reauthorizing the climate and water security provisions in the National Defense Authorization Act.
Our military has long recognized climate change as a threat multiplier — driving instability, straining resources, and putting bases and personnel at risk. Letting these provisions lapse would be a serious mistake.
Water scarcity and extreme weather already affect military readiness and base infrastructure around the world.
These NDAA provisions fund the planning and resilience work that keeps our forces prepared for the realities they face. Stripping them out doesn't make our military stronger — it leaves it less equipped for the threats ahead.
Please make sure these provisions are included and fully funded in the final bill.
