I'm writing because I'm horrified by the actions of the President and the US Military towards Venezuela. By initiating these unprovoked and unsanctioned attacks on a sovereign state, we are endorsing this behavior for other states. We are also entangling ourselves in more foreign wars and risk destabilizing a state, just like Iraq, except in our own hemisphere. I’m embarrassed to be an American. Congress is supposed to be a co-equal branch of government. It’s time to take stronger action against this administration. You must work to convince your Republican counterparts that failure to act now means the end of a democratic republic.
