It’s becoming all too clear why Trump’s weaponizing DOJ refuses to comply with the Epstein files transparency act and why this Republican dominated Congress refuses to act to enforce compliance.
What has happened to a Republican Party whose leaders appear more outraged by criticism of a political ad than by the exploitation of a child rape survivor?
On October 20, Vivek Ramaswamy confirmed his $4 million ad attacking Amy Acton through the estranged mother who stayed married to the man indicted for raping her daughter. On October 21, JD Vance told Republicans to “stop whining” about the ad. Laura Loomer declared October 20, “I don’t care about Amy Acton’s childhood.”
Donald Trump Jr. promoted the video. Michael Knowles, Greg Kelly, Dan Bongino and Roger Stone praised or amplified its attack. What message does this send women and children? That rape allegations can be weaponized against survivors whenever political power is at stake?
And with the Epstein files still demanding transparency, Americans have every reason to question whether powerful men and their allies will ever face equal accountability.
Congress, publicly condemn this exploitation, demand full transparency on Epstein, and make clear that political loyalty never excuses sexual violence or the humiliation of survivors.
