With the onslaught of horrible attacks by the Republican Party right now, it’s easy to miss things. I want to draw you attention to the proposed SAVE Act. The text as written says that a voter’s registration has to match their official papers. It includes the birth certificate but not the marriage license, which could cause untold numbers of married women to be disenfranchised. I believe this is by design and is a trial balloon to see how much pushback on this issue. Please push back. We can clearly see there is nothing too “sacred” to be “rolled back” for these people, not even women’s right to vote. You have always stood for women, and I hope you will continue to have our backs.
