Rein in ICE

To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Van Duyne

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

February 19

Last year, this Republican administration declared, “We are deporting the worst of the worst,” in regards to increased immigration enforcement. Now we learn a 2-month-old baby almost died in a US concentration camp where “the worst of the worst” are supposedly kept. This is not an isolated incident. What was that baby’s crime? What was his mother’s crime? How does a newborn fit the criteria for imprisonment as “the worst of the worst?” ICE is abducting non-criminals off the streets without judicial arrest warrants. ICE is not affording those abductees due process. ICE is not allowing those abductees access to legal counsel. These are all blatant violations of the US Constitution. You, as a member of Congress, have the authority and power to stop this. Why are you not doing so? To not oppose this is to be complicit in it. Will that be your legacy? My wife and I urge you to do everything you can to reclaim your constitutional power, to rein in ICE and stop these abductions of non-criminals.
