New rule passed in House

To: Rep. Huizenga

From: A constituent in Battle Creek, MI

May 8

I see the House republicans have passed a new rule stopping investigations into the trump administration for the rest of this fiscal year. House democrats can no longer request information from the president or anyone in the government, effectively allowing the republicans to govern with no oversight by house democrats. Is this even legal? Should house democrats just ignore the rule? Notice I’m not asking can they ignore but should they ignore the new rule? I’m thinking they should find another way to launch investigations into the administration and do it very publicly to keep the bright lights on all corners of this administration as the republicans continue to operate outside of the law ignoring the Constitution. What do you think Mr Huizenga? I would really like to hear from you. Do you think this is the way the founders of this once great nation would approve? Do you think this is what our veterans and current military have fought for?
