An Open Letter

To: Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee, Rep. Kennedy

From: A constituent in Holladay, UT

April 23

This administration is a disaster and should not be in charge of running a war in the Middle East. During an active naval conflict Hegseth fired the Secretary of the Navy, and the President of the United States of America almost exclusively uses Truth Social to make announcements and communicate with other heads of state. These are not the actions of great strategic thinkers. The infantile and disastrous statements he chooses to make on social media are impacting negotiations and global standing of the US, and Congress is the only body that can control him. Please do something to reduce the damage he's doing to our country. This is going beyond political division and posturing and requires Congress to set aside the party lines and get us back on track as a nation. Revoke his war powers, remove Hegseth, and reopen diplomatic negotiations with Iran to bring an end to this conflict.
