Pass the Protecting Our Democracy Act now. Rep. Robert Garcia, Rep. Joe Morelle, and Senator Murphy introduced this bill specifically to stop corrupt presidents from profiting off their position, and every member of Congress should be co-sponsoring it today. No elected official — and no member of their family — should be allowed to trade stocks, own companies, or cash in on inside information they gained through public service.
