I am writing to ask you to consider voting against S.5384. The department of education is CRUCIAL to our nation's children, especially those children in marginalized populations. That is to say, children who come from poverty, children who are Black or Latino, children who receive specialized services for disabilities, etc. States and school districts need direction in order to ensure all children receive the education they need. American children are behind many other countries already - by taking away the DOE, we will fall further behind. I urge you to consider the negative consequences this bill will have on the future of our nation, on our young people. Thank you.
