“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.” ICE “agents” are still abducting legal residents and American citizens off the streets. Those abducted are not hardened criminals or threats to their communities. They are day laborers, parents taking children to school, legal immigrants going to legally-required court dates. No charges are filed against those abducted. No Miranda rights are read. No due process is given. This is NOT law enforcement. This is illegal, extra-judicial abduction. Of non-criminals and children. By anonymous masked-and-armed thugs. These actions do not make us safer, more prosperous or better in any way These poorly-trained “officers,” masquerading as law enforcement, are a threat to public safety and are terrorizing our civilian population. In 1930s and 40s Germany, Gestapo agents were required to show badges and badge numbers. They were not allowed to wear face masks. The Gestapo was held to higher standards than these unidentifiable ICE “agents.” By refusing to speak out against these actions, you are complicit in this. My wife and I urge you to rein in ICE’s Fourth Amendment violations and stop these abductions of non-criminal American citizens and legal residents.
