After this disgraceful capitulation, I urge you to vote to remove Chuck Schumer as the Democratic leader in the Senate at the earliest possible opportunity. Senator Schumer has proved himself time and again to be spectacularly unsuited for the uniquely dangerous moment this country finds itself in. If our democracy is to survive the next few years, Democrats in the Senate need to fight with everything they have. At this point, if you find Senator Schumer’s leadership acceptable, I and others like me will have to look for primary candidates who will stand up for us.
