The proposed budget plan from House Republicans poses a grave threat to Medicare and Medicaid programs that millions rely on. Targeting these essential programs for massive cuts of $880 billion to fund tax breaks for the wealthy is unconscionable and an attack on vulnerable populations. This plan would force draconian cuts to services, shift enormous costs to states, and strip healthcare from millions who can least afford it. It represents a deeply misguided set of priorities that values corporate profits over the wellbeing of ordinary Americans. Rather than gutting programs that provide a vital safety net, our representatives should pursue balanced policies that strengthen Medicare and Medicaid while promoting equitable economic opportunities for the middle class. I urge you to reject this harmful budget proposal and instead champion legislation that uplifts all citizens, not just the privileged few.
