I’m writing as someone living with Type 1 diabetes. Managing this disease is a constant, daily challenge. Every meal, every night of sleep, every plan I make has to account for it. It’s exhausting and sometimes frightening.
That’s why the ISLET Cell Act matters so much to people like me. Islet cell transplantation offers real hope for better stability and fewer dangerous low blood sugar events, but access in the U.S. is still extremely limited. Even though treatments are moving through pathways with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, many patients still can’t access them.
Please support the ISLET Cell Act so people living with Type 1 diabetes have a real chance at a safer, healthier life.
Thank you for your time and for representing us.
