An Open Letter

To: Rep. Evans

From: A verified voter in Philadelphia, PA

July 24

I am writing to encourage you to vote in favor of H.R.987, the Fair Access to Banking Act. I don’t believe that businesses such as banks or credit card companies should be able to tell anyone what to spend their own, hard-earned money on. Banks and credit card companies should not be in the business of making moral judgments about what their customers spend their money on. Their job is to facilitate transactions. If it's not illegal, then they should have no say on who buys something that somebody might decide is objectionable based on politics or personal bias.
