I am heartbroken to see what has happened to our country. I refuse to believe that the majority of Americans are willing to support an autocrat with dementia and to give up our democracy, but it is clear that the GOP is no longer Republican but has fallen to the "cult of personality" know as MAGA. I am dumbfounded that so many people can be duped by Fox and refuse to see what is directly in front of them. I pray you can do as much as you can between now and Jan 21st to challenge the results- as much as Trump screamed "cheating" only means, he and Musk cheated with the help of Russia. I fear that we will become a democracy in name only because the deck has been stacked against free, fair, representative elections or equal representation. Both of my grandfathers fought in WWII- I know they would be horrified to see what the Republican Party has become- MAGA does not represent them. Thank you for your service. I am sure you are as heartbroken as I am after a lifetime of public service, I can only hope and pray that there are courageous people to come after you and carry on the fight.
