Formal Complaint Regarding DOGE's Access to My Sensitive Information
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and concern regarding reports of DOGE's access to my and my family’s and your personal information. I understand that DOGE may have acquired this information through aggressive maneuvers with various government agencies, potentially including the Treasury Department and USAID. I am deeply troubled by this unprecedented access by an unelected un-American person and the potential implications for my and my family’s and your privacy and security.
I demand our legislators to obtain and provide full and transparent explanation regarding the following:
• What specific information about us has DOGE accessed?
• What is the stated purpose for which DOGE has access to this information?
• What security measures are in place to protect my information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure?
• How long will DOGE retain this information?
• What is the process for me to review the information DOGE holds about me and to request corrections or deletion of inaccurate information?
• What legal authority grants DOGE the right to access and store my personal information?
I believe that access to such sensitive information should be strictly limited and subject to *rigorous oversight.*
I am particularly concerned about the potential for misuse and manipulation of this data. The current head of DOGE has nonchalantly boasted about their actions, and does not convey a high level of trust or discernment around the dangers imposed.
Along with many others, I want my Florida Representative and Senators to protect us, and demand a prompt and comprehensive response from the Executive Branch / DOGE outlining the steps they are taking to address these widely shared concerns.
Thank you for your work and speaking up for your constituents.
