Please sign AB-715 into law!

Please sign AB 715 into law. Jewish students are afraid to go to school due to the rise in antisemitic incidents in K-12, from both students and teachers. Antisemitism in California classrooms is a serious problem that needs to be addressed immediately.
I agree with Alliance for Constructive Ethnic Studies that these bills are vital to protect all students from exposure to antisemitic, factually inaccurate, and one-sided instructional content. Schools often lack training, tools, and accountability to respond. AB 715 and SB 48 address these needs, and must be signed into law.
Legislative Diversity Caucuses (Jewish, Black, AAPI, Latino) recognize that this bill is the best way to address the alarming antisemitism in schools.
Unlike the CTA, these diverse caucuses do not believe the bill is “prioritizing one form of discrimination over others.” I applaud the caucuses’ work on AB 715 and encourage you to support them and the bill.
Don’t accept the false narrative about the bill that is not supported by the bill’s actual language.
All references to the conversation about Palestine and Israel have been removed from the bill.
This bill is not about censorship - no topics are censored. Rather, it’s about protecting students from discriminatory bias and preventing teachers from using classrooms for personal advocacy. And this teacher-approved wording is taken directly from the existing union contract in the largest California school districts (Union Teachers Los Angeles).
I strongly urge you to sign AB 715 into law. Your constituents overwhelmingly support this bill, the legislators overwhelmingly support this bill, and our children need this bill.
