I'm writing today to urge you to pass the SHIELD Act and put the responsibility of paying for utilities and power plant infrastructure needed for data centers where it belongs, on the shoulders of Big Tech, the companies making billions from Al data centers. Families struggling to put food on the table and gas in their cars shouldn't bear the burden that Big Tech is placing on the energy grid. I urge you to pass the SHIELD Act. Bipartisan support of similar legislation is already making strides in North Carolina.
