Prioritize working class over corporate interests, Democrats urged
To: Pres. Biden
From: A constituent in Seattle, WA
November 12, 2024
The Democratic Party campaigned like Republicans from the year 2000, which resonated with few voters. No one wanted to see Democrats align with figures like the Cheneys. Instead, constituents needed to hear more from Democrats about defending reproductive rights and ensuring access to safe abortions when medically necessary, a pressing concern as women continue dying due to lack of care. The party should consult Senator Bernie Sanders and refocus on championing working-class economic interests through robust wage growth, labor protections, and curbing corporate exploitation - policies that resonate with struggling Americans and differentiate Democrats from Republican rhetoric pandering to wealthy donors and businesses.
