The world heard nearly two hours of Trump's lunatic nationalist posturing last night, and while much of what he declared is demonstrably false, his overall fever pitch of gleeful violence and unapologetic bigotry is alarming. He is leading our government and our nation deeper and deeper into fascist idolatry, but the rest of the world is watching and they aren't fooled. He's increasingly militant and filled with hatred for anyone other than heterosexual white men, and his xenophobic rant about immigrants is anti-American. Congress must intervene- stop his armed invasions, stop the hateful rhetoric, and bring him to heel. We are losing our place on the global stage in ways that won't be easily gained back after his term, and Congress is allowing it to happen.
