You need to speak out loudly and on the record against the Justice Department's directive granting Donald Trump, his family, and his businesses permanent immunity from tax audits. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche signed a one-page document declaring they are "FOREVER BARRED and PRECLUDED" from prosecution or tax claims — covering inquiries already pending and any that could arise in the future. This was posted quietly on the DOJ website with no press release, no announcement, nothing. That alone tells you everything about how they know this looks. Richard Painter, the chief White House ethics lawyer under George W. Bush, has already said this violates the domestic emoluments clause, which explicitly bars the president from receiving financial advantages from the federal government beyond his salary. NC State tax professor Nathan Goldman called it "unprecedented" — no other American taxpayer gets this shield. The rest of us face audits, penalties, and jail time for underpaying taxes. Trump just exempted his entire family from that reality. Senator Schiff put it plainly: "The tax-dodging President gets himself and his whole family a tax break, thanks to Todd Blanche." That's corruption. Call it what it is and demand accountability.
