Reject immoral bill prioritizing wealthy over common good.

To: Rep. Roy, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in San Antonio, TX

July 1

The proposed Senate Republican policy bill would significantly increase the national debt and disproportionately benefit corporations and wealthy individuals through expansive tax cuts, while implementing draconian cuts to vital social safety net programs like Medicaid, food assistance, and student loan relief. It is fiscally irresponsible and morally reprehensible to add over $3 trillion to the deficit in order to provide windfalls to the affluent, all while slashing critical services that millions of Americans rely upon. This misguided legislation represents a callous prioritization of profits over people. Stripping healthcare coverage, nutrition aid, and educational opportunities from vulnerable populations is an unconscionable assault on the well-being of our communities. Furthermore, the bill's relentless attacks on environmental protections and green energy initiatives threaten to exacerbate the climate crisis, jeopardizing our planet's future. Such a regressive agenda that sacrifices the interests of working families, seniors, students, and the underprivileged on the altar of further enriching the wealthy elite is antithetical to the values of a just and equitable society. I urge you to resoundingly reject this exploitative bill and instead champion policies that uplift all Americans, not merely the privileged few.
