I urge you to reject any funding bill that does not meaningfully guarantee the continuation of ACA subsidies that have helped millions of people remain insured. A promise of a vote in the future is not enough. You should not be willing to trade the harm of the continuing government shutdown for the harm that will be caused by the ACA tax credits not being renewed—not to mention by the gutting of funding for other social services and protections for the most vulnerable. Don’t compromise for meaningless promises. Hold firm and defend your constituents.
