It does not matter what your position is on Iran, its government, or its policies. Economic warfare that deliberately makes ordinary people suffer is unacceptable.
Congress must act immediately to stop the Trump administration’s escalating economic war on Iran.
No new sanctions. Block “Operation Economic Outcast.” End the sanctions on Iran. End the embargo and sanctions on Cuba. And stop using economic warfare to punish entire countries.
Crippling another country’s economy does not just hurt its government—it makes ordinary people pay the price through shortages, inflation, hunger, unemployment, and deteriorating living conditions. That is unacceptable.
The United States needs to stop spending its power and resources trying to control, destabilize, and economically strangle the rest of the world.
Take care of people here.
We pay taxes for a reason.
Universal healthcare. Free childcare. Affordable housing. Food security. Clean water. Fully funded public education. These should be national priorities in the richest country on Earth—not endless war, sanctions, and coercion abroad.
Use your legislative and appropriations powers to block new sanctions, repeal existing sanctions, end the Cuba embargo, and reject economic warfare as U.S. foreign policy.
Stop pretending to work for the American people while refusing to guarantee their basic needs.
We expect more from our representatives—and we are voting accordingly.
