Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller must go.
They should resign, if not then they need to be relieved of their responsibilities. They should be fired or impeached. They have no support from the public they are suppose to serve.
Furthermore, as I see it DHS needs to go as well. Back in 2002, after our country’s reaction from the tragic event of 9/11, perhaps creating DHS made symbolic sense. It no longer does. Too many of our critically needed component agencies within DHS are being all but shut down and underfunded- underutilized.
The agencies such as US Coast Guard, FEMA, TSA, Secret Service along with other existing agencies should be reinstated to where they once were.
The immigration combined agencies ( with the exception of ICE) should be placed together under the INS ICE needs to be dismantled as is. It has shown to be an internal “terroristic” agency.
I am not saying we do not need agents to go after, apprehend people here illegally- but. ICE has not shown to be the appropriate agency. Everything about it is tragic, unruly, unlawful.
Traumatizing to law abiding American citizens.
Two things that weigh on my mind regarding immigration.
1. The US must make a clear, concise, easy to understand and cost effective way to follow for any immigrate to remain here and/or become a citizen
2. All of these immigrants that are here and have been here working (paying taxes contributing etc).
IF they are here “illegally” why are their employers not arrested for breaking the law as well? They should be
We can do better. Much better. We can be humane, legal, constitutional with appropriate processes, such as due process, access to lawyers, medical care, and respect.
We can do better. We must do better.
Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller must go. DHS’ ICE and CBP must go.
