Oppose Unconstitutional War Against Iran & Demand Congressional Action

To: Sen. Young, Rep. Carson, Sen. Banks

From: A constituent in Indianapolis, IN

June 22

I urge you to demand Congressional approval for any military action and assert Congress's sole power to declare war. support Representative Thomas Massie’s Iran War Powers Resolution. The President’s unilateral action exceeds executive power and violates the U.S. Constitution, which explicitly vests the power to declare war solely with Congress. There has been no clear case or justification made for this attack, nor any discernible strategy for what comes next, leaving even national security experts in the dark about our goals. This war of aggression, which appears to be influenced by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is a dangerous path that risks dragging our nation into an unconventional war without public or congressional consent. I’m not interested in being shoved into another conflict. Ensure that the President does not unilaterally drag the nation into war.
