The majority of Americans oppose cuts to Medicaid.  I urge you to reject any budget agreement that would require cuts to Medicaid funding or benefits, as well as the imposition of burdensome work reporting requirements which have not shown to increase the number of people who work. A budget plan that includes those changes would disproportionately harm people with mental health conditions and substance use disorders, who make up approximately 40% of non-elderly adults on Medicaid.
