No to Hemisphere Dominance Ideology! I'm opposed to what the administration did in Venezuela. It's outrageous. Of course Maduro is bad, but this isn't about that. It's a distraction and an attempt to further Trump and Company's authoritarian aims in the US. I want you to speak out with force. First, I read today that this is no different from what Sadaam did in Kuwait - lawless. If other countries had the power they would try to stop us, but they can't easily defeat our military. Shameful abuse of power. Second - what is this rationale that Rubio and Trump and pushing about OUR Hemisphere and how we have the RIGHT to just bully all the countries in the Americas and Greenland like they are colonies of the US? I know Putin thinks of eastern Europe this way, and no doubt, China thinks like this but it's WRONG! We MUST NOT start normalizing this way of talking diplomatically. We do NOT have any right to Venezuala's oil or Greenland's resources etc. Yes it's a worry if Russia and China are making alliances with corrupt actors close to us (I remember the Cuban Missile Crisis), but using our military to bully other nearby countries is insane. It may be something we have done before, but it cannot be what we publicly stand for. I want to go back to respecting our allies (we won't have any soon) - and working with the US and holding up the rule of law domestically and internationally. You need to do this too. Don't praise ANYTHING about this adventure - the ends (removing a bad guy) do NOT justify the means - and besides, we have left many bad actors in place and even pardoned some. Just please speak out against this new "hemisphere dominance" policy - it's horrible! We must stand unified in opposition to it. Congress must act! All Patriots must call for this administration to step down.
