Trump’s Reflecting Pool just a reminder he blamed others for his damage

To: Sen. Gallego, Sen. Kelly, Rep. Hamadeh

From: A verified voter in Phoenix, AZ

November 2

Today, Mr Trump again spoke at the Lincoln Reflecting Pool as though he believes its value is as a monument unto himself as a master renovator. I am compelled to write to you again about Mr Trump’s push to rush the renovation of the Reflecting Pool to make it ready in time for his planned events during the summer, his outrage when that rushed job resulted in peeling, damaged surfaces, and his repeated lies and accusations against individuals including an American Olympian who he demanded his Department of Justice falsely prosecute for vandalizing and damaging the Reflecting Pool surfaces —-all in order to cover up for his own actions and incompetencies. A published report by the company responsible for the botched installation confirms that their own rushed installation at Mr Trump’s behest caused the damage Mr Trump attributed both publicly and in his weaponized DOJ’s court filings to innocent people visiting the monument. He has neither withdrawn his remarks nor made any restitution. What are the consequences for the mad king who literally prosecutes his constituents for his own actions’ outcomes? Unless Congress acts as a co-equal branch to check his high crimes and misdemeanors, we are all at risk of his poor judgment.
