The federal government is supposed to protect, not endanger, Americans. However, the Department of Homeland Security is imperiling the basic rights of all of us. Illegal DHS actions, are traumatizing communities, making it nearly impossible for educators, healthcare workers, and public service professionals to take care of their communities. Children are terrified, families are afraid to send their kids to school, and people who are sick are afraid to get medical care. Pass funding that will keep America safe while also implementing critical and necessary steps for de-escalation, transparency, and accountability from the Department of Homeland Security, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
