This Republican administration’s war with Iran must end. The administration continues to launch military strikes against Iran without a coherent strategy, without a credible threat to justify it, and without the public support any sustained military campaign requires. Bombing hasn't worked. Diplomacy has failed.
What makes this worse is a framework to hold Iran in check already existed. The Iran nuclear deal was a functioning diplomatic achievement. This administration scrapped it for no good reason. We gave away our leverage over Iran, then started a war we have no idea how to finish.
Gasoline prices continue to rise. American service members are being wounded and killed. No number of American casualties are justified in an unjust war.
Congress has a constitutional duty to act. To not do so is to be complicit in the needless war. My wife and I urge you to demand a clear accounting of the war's objectives, costs, and exit strategies. Demand a diplomatic resolution now, before this war drags on any further and more Americans are killed or injured.
