Condemn Gorka’s Authoritarian Threats and Defend Our First Amendment Rights

To: Rep. Fitzpatrick, Sen. McCormick, Sen. Fetterman

From: A constituent in Morrisville, PA

April 18

I’m writing as your constituent to express outrage over Sebastian Gorka’s recent comments calling Americans who oppose Trump’s deportation agenda “on the side of the terrorists.” He even suggested that advocates for Kilmar Abrego Garcia could be prosecuted for “aiding and abetting.” This is dangerous rhetoric—meant to criminalize peaceful dissent and silence those who speak out against injustice. Kilmar Abrego Garcia was wrongfully deported despite having legal protection. Advocating for his return is not terrorism. It’s a defense of human rights and due process. I’ve exercised my First Amendment rights to demand justice. But so far, I’ve heard nothing from your office. I urge you to: • Publicly condemn Gorka’s remarks • Reaffirm your commitment to the First Amendment • Demand accountability for Kilmar’s wrongful deportation Silence in this moment is complicity. I look forward to your public statement.
