Balanced fiscal policy protecting social programs and equity

To: Sen. Cruz, Rep. Veasey, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

April 11

Providing tax breaks for the wealthy by slashing Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security is an unconscionable policy that would devastate millions of vulnerable Americans who rely on these essential programs. Rather than stripping support from those most in need, fiscal reforms should close loopholes that enable corporations and the ultra-wealthy to avoid paying their fair share. The priorities should be investing in the people, not further enriching a small elite class with immense existing resources. Tax policy must protect vital social services and promote greater equity across society.
