end trump's dictator rule

To: Sen. Johnson, Rep. Moore, Sen. Baldwin

From: A constituent in Milwaukee, WI

November 1

I am writing as a concerned citizen who values the foundational principles of our democracy. The Constitution grants the President significant authority, but it also relies on Congress to act as a check on executive power to prevent any concentration of authority that could threaten the balance of our government. Recent actions by the executive branch raise concerns about overreach and the erosion of democratic norms. I respectfully urge Congress to exercise its constitutional responsibilities by: Reviewing and, if necessary, limiting unilateral executive actions that bypass Congress. Ensuring oversight of all executive orders, emergency powers, and other instruments of authority to guarantee transparency and accountability. Protecting the legislative branch’s role in governance and preserving the system of checks and balances established by the Constitution. The strength of our nation lies in its adherence to democratic principles, the rule of law, and shared accountability among the branches of government. By exercising careful oversight and restraint, Congress can safeguard the freedoms and rights of all Americans. Thank you for your attention to this critical matter and for your service in defending the principles of our Constitution.
