I'm a California resident who moved here from Minnesota. I'm seeing neighbors in both states lawlessly assaulted by ICE. I'm writing to ask you to support defunding ICE. To vocally support it and to use the leverage of the upcoming budget talks to demand it. Calling for more training or stricter rules is pointless. ICE is actively violating laws now. Why would they adhere to new rules? It is far past time for Congress to reassert their power. These are not normal times. Defunding ICE is the morally correct thing to do. It's also the best political choice to make. Trump's regime will end. History and voters will remember who took action to end it and who hid behind weak statements of disapproval.
