An Open Letter

To: Sen. Hickenlooper, Rep. Crank, Sen. Bennet

From: A constituent in Colorado Springs, CO

October 29

I am a registered voter who is disabled and receives SNAP benefits. I get $1,075 a month from my social security that I paid into for decades. First off, let me say, if you’re a republican and reading this, you are the problem. We all know you could “go nuclear” and ram a budget through, but you won’t because it can’t be your fault later. You need the dems to be your scapegoat because you know it’s the wrong thing to do. You know that healthcare is on the chopping block for millions of Americans. You know, the people you “serve” and are supposed to represent? Those Americans. Shame on you. Call your mother and apologize to her. Second, I want you to know that I absolutely do not want the good guys to bend because I can’t afford food. I’ll utilize food banks and eat lean and solicit help from charities. Do not let the White House and that worthless kissass, Mike Johnson, pressure any of you into giving up on healthcare. Keep demanding the extension of premium tax credits and the restoration of the Medicaid budget. Even if I starve to death, keep fighting for the rest of the working class.
