I’m writing to stress that childcare is an infrastructure problem, and that it should be funded by the government in order to support the workforce and support working families. It is your job to work for the people of the United States, regardless of religion, socioeconomic status, sexual identity, and gender. Funding childcare will help millions of families to stay in the workforce and continue to support themselves financially. Funding childcare is a basic need that the United States government can protect.
