Stand Up for Our Country—Stop Trump’s Embarrassment on the World Stage

To: Sen. Cruz, Rep. Carter, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in Leander, TX

September 25, 2025

I write to you with urgency and deep concern after Donald Trump’s most recent speech at the United Nations. His words did not represent the dignity, strength, or wisdom of the United States. Instead, they embarrassed our nation before the world, making us appear uneducated, hostile, and regressive. Every day that Trump is allowed to carry on unchecked, America’s reputation is further diminished. We were once a beacon of democracy, innovation, and leadership. Now, under his reckless behavior, we look like a country moving backwards—abandoning truth, respect, and diplomacy. Congress has a duty to act. You are not just representatives of your districts—you are stewards of the Constitution and guardians of our nation’s future. Silence and inaction in the face of this damage are not options. We need you to push back, to speak up, and to make it clear to the world that Trump does not define the soul of America. Please, I beg of you: stand up for our country before it is too late. History will judge whether Congress stood strong in defense of America’s values, or whether it allowed one man’s reckless ego to dismantle decades of progress and global trust. The world is watching. The American people are watching. We need you to act.
