Vote NO to Senate Bill 2

To: Rep. Meyer, Sen. Johnson

From: A verified voter in Dallas, TX

February 4

I am one of your concerned constituents and an active voter, asking you to stand up for public education in Texas and vote against Senate Bill 2. I am writing to express my strong opposition to SB2 and its provision to fund private schools with taxpayer dollars. Diverting public funds to private institutions undermines our public school system, which serves the vast majority of Texas students, including those with diverse needs and backgrounds. Public schools are already underfunded, and this bill would further strain resources, making it harder for educators to provide quality instruction, support special programs, and maintain necessary infrastructure. Instead of funneling money into private institutions that lack transparency and accountability, we should be investing in strengthening our public education system for all children. I urge you to stand with Texas families and vote against SB2. Our public schools—and the future of our children—depend on it. Thank you for your time and I will be watching how you vote on this critical issue.
