I’m writing to respectfully urge you to vote no on any proposal to cut funding for public broadcasting and NPR. My family, like many others in our community, value the programming provided by PBS and NPR. Shows like PBS Kids offer safe, educational content that supports early learning and positive social development. As parents, we trust the quality of this programming. Beyond children’s content, public broadcasting offers news and cultural programming that is in-depth, balanced, and accessible to all, regardless of income or background. Public broadcasting is a vital service, not a luxury. Please stand up for families like mine and the many others across the state who believe in the mission of public media.
