An Open Letter

To: Rep. Fedorchak, Sen. Cramer, Sen. Hoeven

From: A constituent in Watford City, ND

February 12

Dear Representatives, I'm very concerned and frankly angry about the attack on women playing out in our government right now. This administration would like to portray themselves as saviors of women, when in fact they spend every day, rolling back rights, removing healthcare, and protecting abusers over the survivors, and yes they are survivors not victims. I'm very disappointed in the House vote on the SAVE Act and wish to register my displeasure and urge the Senate not to pass this law. Married women, veterans, and even people like the VP will be affected by requiring a birth certificate to match your current name. It's fine to require an ID to register to vote, but what is proposed right now is a bill for the dark ages. Stop attacking women, start believing women, and grow a spine and stop the lawlessness in the white house and be on the correct side of history.
