Protect Women's Rights: Healthcare, Equality, and Democracy Are Under Attack
To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Cloud
From: A verified voter in Corpus Christi, TX
April 27
I'm writing to express my deep concern about the ongoing attacks on women's rights and equality.
The new executive order banning Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs is a direct rollback of hard-won protections. DEl initiatives were critical for addressing systemic barriers women face in employment, education, healthcare, and financial independence. Removing these protections threatens the progress we've made since women gained the right to open bank accounts, work while pregnant, and live free from discrimination.
Shockingly, even the National Science Foundation is now rejecting research papers that use words like "female" and "breastfeeding person," further erasing scientific accuracy and women's lived experiences.
Additionally, efforts like the SAVE Act will make it harder for women — especially domestic violence survivors or married women who have changed their names — to exercise their
ht to vote. This is unacceptable.
Abortion access is healthcare, not a political tool. Medical decisions should remain between a woman and her doctor, not politicians.
I urge you to fight back against these dangerous policies, stand up for women's rights, and protect the progress generations before us fought to achieve.
