U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) intends to purchase a 500,000-square-foot warehouse near Ashland and convert it into an immigration detention facility. As a concerned citizen of the Commonwealth, I'm reaching out to ask that you take every action possible to prevent this purchase and prevent ICE from increasing its presence in Virginia. ICE represents the worst of America. It has devolved into a roving mob of secret police, intent on abusing the rights of everyone they come into contact with. Virginia should tell them to get the hell out, and keep them off our streets and away from our neighbors.
