This Republican administration admitted the Iran conflict is a war

To: Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Van Duyne, Sen. Cruz

From: A constituent in Dallas, TX

March 28

This Republican administration has openly admitted it is avoiding calling the Iran conflict a war because it knows the Constitution requires congressional approval for war. U.S. service members are being killed and injured, our bases are being attacked, and billions of dollars in weapons and resources are disappearing into a conflict Congress never authorized. The administration is waging war without Constitutional authority, strategic clarity, or any measurable benefit to the American people. We are burning through money, munitions, and lives while the country faces economic strain and political distraction. None of this advances our national interest. Rather, it seriously weakens us. Congress alone holds the power to declare war. You must reclaim that authority now. Vote immediately to deny war authorization and funding. End these unauthorized hostilities. Every day of delay costs lives, drains our defenses, and erodes the constitutional limits that protect this nation from reckless executive action. This Republican administration has stated it started an unprovoked, illegal war with Iran. Congress cannot ignore that admission. End the war now.
