What is the end game in Iran? Congress has allowed the president unfettered power in this war against Iran, and there appears to be no strategy or political-religious assessment regarding execution of the assault, which is extremely short-sighted given the Islamic regime in Iran. Any political or military strategist could have predicted Iran's response to the assassination of the Ayatollah, yet that was apparently the first objective in this war, and the first act by the US was to murder a large group of children by dropping a bomb on a girls' elementary school due to outdated intelligence. A lack of intelligence has been the central theme of this war, and Iran is doing everything the US predicted it would not, up to and including strangling the Strait of Hormuz. They are out-thinking us and out-maneuvering us even with their smaller military, and it does not seem that this administration has an exit strategy in place. Over 3 million people have been displaced, and countless irreplaceable historical sites have been destroyed by US bombs. We are creating a new generation of anti-US terrorists with every bomb we drop, and the responsibility for this lies entirely with Congress for not limiting the president's war powers when given the chance. Donald Trump has completely destroyed any possibility of peace in the Middle East for generations to come, and Congress needs to get involved and come up with an end strategy for this war before it turns into a full-scale global conflict.
